Coping with school as a young carer

When Kirsty feels tired or stressed out, she finds it helpful to speak to the school counsellor about how she's feeling. If she's having problems keeping up with her schoolwork, the support teacher tells her other teachers. Kirsty found out about YC Net - a good website for young carers. Her social worker helped her join a young carers' group and sorted out more help for her mum.

Doing her homework

Kirsty finds it hard to do homework at home, so she does it at homework club or in the support base.
