Film screenings especially for young people with disabilities

Find it hard to sit still in the cinema? Don’t like the bright lights and loud noises?

Well, Glasgow Film Theatre may have the answer! They are doing film screenings especially for young people with disabilities like autism spectrum disorder. The films will be played with the volume reduced and the house lights on low. You’ll be able to move around during the film, and you won’t have to stay silent.

The screenings take place on the first Saturday of each month at 12.30pm. First up are the films Igor, Space Chimps and the Little Polar Bear 2.

Also… the fab news is that Glasgow Young Scot or Kidz Card holders get in FREE to these shows! All other tickets are £3.00. One adult will be able to come with you free of charge.

For more info, go to the Glasgow Film Theatre website.

What a great idea! Lets hope other cinemas in Scotland start doing this as well.

Why not email Enquire and tell us about your trip to the Glasgow Film Theatre? We’d love to hear from you. Or you could leave a comment on the blog.
