The Parents' Guide to Additional Support for Learning
Enquire has rewritten its parents’ guide in light of the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act 2004. This detailed and user-friendly guide to the education system:
- explains the new framework for supporting children’s learning
- outlines new rights for parents and young people, and new responsibilities for education authorities
- describes and illustrates processes for identifying and making provision for children and young people with additional support needs
- lists useful organisations, and
- includes a contacts page so parents can record personal information
