ASL Implementation Newsletter
On 14 November 2005 the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Act 2004 came into force. This meant the introduction of a new framework of support for every child in Scotland who has additional support needs.
The Act gives new rights to parents and young people and places new duties on education authorities, health boards and other agencies specified by Scottish Ministers.
