Outreach Service
What is the Enquire outreach service?
Enquire offers a flexible outreach and training service aimed at parents, carers and people who are involved in the education of children and young people who require additional support for learning. The aim of the service is to promote best practice and encourage effective communication between everyone involved in the education of children and young people with additional support needs.
Our audiences include: parents and carers; education professionals; social work and health professionals; voluntary organisations and specialist groups. We offer our services free to parents and carers.
What kind of events do we run?
We can deliver presentations to audiences of any size, provide informal talks and discussions for smaller groups and train groups of up to 30 people.
What topics can be covered?
Talks and training can cover:
- what we do at Enquire
- legislation relating to additional support for learning
- rights and responsibilities in the delivery of education to children and young people with additional support needs
- the structures and systems of additional support needs provision
- developing partnerships between parents and professionals
- effective communication
